Ingredients – Crust

  • ½ cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 30g dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • Pinch sea salt

Ingredients – Filling

  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 serve Nuzest Clean Lean Protein Rich Chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes.
  2. Place soaked dates and almonds in a high-powered food processor and pulse until fine.
  3. Add melted chocolate, coconut oil, and sea salt then pulse again until combined.
  4. Press crust mixture firmly into a round tart pan with a removable bottom (around 9-inch pan) and chill in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  5. Clean the food processor and heat coconut cream, dark chocolate, and coconut oil in a pan until melted.
  6. Add to the food processor with dates and vanilla extract & Nuzest’s plant protein powder and blitz until completely smooth.
  7. Fill the chocolate tart filling into the crust in the tart pan and chill for about 2 hours, until set.
  8. Keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
